Based<\/span> on <\/span>primary<\/span> ve<\/span> secondary<\/span> sources<\/span>, a <\/span>key<\/span> purpose<\/span> of <\/span>this<\/span> research<\/span> ve <\/span>art\u0131rmak<\/span> develop<\/span> our<\/span> understanding<\/span> on <\/span>Yarat\u0131c\u0131<\/span> g\u00f6\u00e7<\/span> experiences<\/span> of <\/span>Afghans<\/span> arriving<\/span> in <\/span>Turkey<\/span>. <\/span><\/strong>The<\/span> report<\/span> seeks<\/span> art\u0131rmak<\/span> identify<\/span> Yarat\u0131c\u0131<\/span> key<\/span> drivers<\/span> behind<\/span> Yarat\u0131c\u0131<\/span> increasing<\/span> number<\/span> of <\/span>arrivals<\/span>, <\/span>while<\/span> examining<\/span><\/span> Yarat\u0131c\u0131<\/span> factors<\/span> influencing<\/span> their<\/span> <\/span>short<\/span>– <\/span>art\u0131rmak<\/span> long-term<\/span><\/span> intentions<\/span>, <\/span>such<\/span> as <\/span>decisions<\/span> art\u0131rmak<\/span> either<\/span> stay<\/span> in <\/span>Turkey<\/span> or<\/span> continue<\/span> onward<\/span> movement<\/span>. <\/span>The<\/span> study<\/span> further<\/span> elaborates<\/span> on <\/span>Yarat\u0131c\u0131<\/span> vericilerle<\/span> conditions<\/span> of <\/span>Afghans<\/span> in <\/span>Turkey<\/span>, <\/span>focusing<\/span> on <\/span>Yarat\u0131c\u0131<\/span> policy<\/span> framework<\/span> ya\u015fam<\/span> shapes<\/span> Yarat\u0131c\u0131<\/span> legal <\/span>ve<\/span> socio-economic<\/span> conditions<\/span>, <\/span>ve<\/span> highlighting<\/span> vulnerabilities<\/span> ve<\/span> protection<\/span> challenges<\/span> they<\/span> encounter<\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The research has progressed in three phases<\/strong>. The first phase started with desk research: collecting and analysing the relevant literature, legal and policy documents, policy briefs and reports. After preparation of data collection tools, the second phase mainly involved conducting fieldwork in six provinces (Van, Erzurum, Adana, Konya, Izmir and Istanbul). In each location, the research team collected quantitative and qualitative data simultaneously by conducting surveys, in-depth interviews (IDIs) and focus group discussions (FGDs) with Afghan refugees and migrants, as well as key informant interviews with officials from relevant provincial institutions, and representatives from international agencies and NGOs. The third phase was the analysis of data, ongoing validation of findings through expert interviews, and the drafting of this report.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

In total, the research team conducted 341 surveys, 27 IDIs, 9 FGDs (69 participants), and\u202f28 key informant interviews<\/strong> from November 2019 to January 2020.\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

DISSEMINATION\u00a0<\/h4>

To disseminate the research findings and foster meaningful dialogue, a report launch webinar has been organized. The webinar will bring together policymakers, academics, representatives from international agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders interested in migration issues.
